Black Beach near El Golfo
A longish drive through the malpais (lava fields from volcanic activity) is rewarded with the beautiful and quintessentially Canarian town of El Golfo. Stop here and enjoy a drink and perhaps some seafood in one of the restaurants that overlooks the Atlantic. Very popular with locals for a Sunday afternoon out.

El Golfo is one of the first places I go to when I visit Lanzarote - can't recommend it highly enough
