Golf in Lanzarote
There are currently two 18 hole golf courses in Lanzarote, at Tias (near Puerto del Carmen), and at Costa Teguise. Both are full length courses.
The most popular time to play, and regarded as peak season for golf in the Canary Islands, is November to March. Both the Costa Teguise and Tias courses are quite long and challenging in parts, and have stunning views of the mountains and coastline.
Both courses offer buggy, trolley, and club hire, as well as a clubhouse with restaurant and bar facilities.
There are also plans for a further golf course in Playa Blanca. People familiar with the Montana Roja, Playa Blanca area will know that a golf course has been at the design stage for some years between the Montana and the sea, to the west of the Faro Park developments.

Puerto Del Carmen Golf
Lanzarote Golf Resort opened as a modern 18-hole golf course in 2008. It is a challenging, but very enjoyable par 72 course, and was created by the well-known American designer Ron Kirby who adapted the original land, with its attractive undulations in keeping with the idyllic landscape of Lanzarote. According to Kirby "I want the course to be fun and enjoyable for all players but never regarded as easy.
