Sightseeing in Lanzarote
In such a small island, with sunshine resorts and beachlife so much to the forefront, it would be easy to miss the fascinating and rich cultural, historical and scientific attractions of Lanzarote that make it one of the most interesting islands that you can visit.
That would be a shame, because no visit to Lanzarote is complete without taking in one or more of the natural sightseeing attractions of the island. We have listed some of the main ones below, with links to more detailed information elsewhere on this site.
Timanfaya (which means 'Fire Mountain') defines Lanzarote in so many ways, being responsible for the formation of much of the terrain on the South of the island following its last major eruption in the 18th Century. It is a must-see trip during anyone's visit to Lanzarote.
