Property for sale in Lanzarote comes in many different forms, from apartments in Costa Teguise to large villas in Playa Blanca and other areas with substantial gardens and private pools. It is possible to get an apartment for well under 100,000 euros, whilst a detached villa with its own pool is likely to cost from around 200,000. There is no doubt that there are bargains to be found in the current market.

Whilst the £ has suffered against the euro in the past few years, prices of property on Lanzarote have stayed stronger than in other parts of Spain, though average prices are down some 15% from their peak in 2006. The fact that most banks here require deposits of at least 30% may have prevented the more speculative prices that seem to have occurred elsewhere.
