The El Grifo Wine Museum is in the grounds of the El Grifo bodega, situated close to the town of Masdache. It is really interesting and gives an insight to winemaking in Lanzarote over the past few hundred years, complete with many of the original pieces of equipment. Try one of their tastings afterwards, and browse round their shop.

Timanfaya (which means 'Fire Mountain') defines Lanzarote in so many ways, being responsible for the formation of much of the terrain on the South of the island following its last major eruption in the 18th Century. It is a must-see trip during any visit to Lanzarote.
